I have worked with some wonderful individuals and companies whilst developing my business. These are my favourites and the ones that I recommend:
ARTE (Artisans of the Emirates) (goes to their Facebook page)
If not for ARTE there may never have been a Toffee Princess! Miriam invited me to participate in the December market back in 2008 and I have been a regular vendor ever since. ARTE supports local artisans who hand make their goods right here in the UAE.
House of Colour, Dubai (goes to their Facebook page)
Knowing which colours suit you best can give you the confidence to be the person you really are. Janet helps you get it just right and then goes the extra mile to make sure you look fabulous. Janet makes her own Seasons Jewellery and stocks some gorgeous clothes which are specially selected to match your palette.
Lovelinks by Pastiche, Dubai (goes to their Facebook page)
Gorgeous bling for your wrists. The fabulous Juliette is one of the most hard working people I know. Based on the concept of modern charm jewellery, Lovelinks is a collection of sterling silver, gold, gold-plated & Murano glass beads that fit over a flexible sterling silver bracelet or necklace. Visit her open house every Monday and see the lovely range for yourself.
My dear friend Anna really does make the most scrumptious cakes in Dubai. Made from organic ingredients, free range eggs and lots of love and care, they are quite simply the best! Anna also makes large celebration cakes and biscuits/cookies too.
Far and above the best portrait photographer I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! Terhi puts you at ease immediately and has a really gift for capturing the moment perfectly.
Professional consultancy with a great sense of humour thrown in to keep things real. Serving the hospitality industry with training and support particularly in the PR and social media areas. If I don’t succeed in the toffee industry, I’m hoping Martin from Iconsulthotels will give me a job!
I am very proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the Dubai Caledonian Society, providing them with packs and favours for their three main events of the year: The Burns’ Supper, Chieftain’s Ball and St Andrew’s Ball. If you are Scottish, you really must join the society – it’s very sociable and a great way to make some new friends, especially if you are new to Dubai.
